About this policy brief
How can schools contribute to peacebuilding and social cohesion in communities affected by conflict?
This policy brief draws on implementation experiences from the Building Bridges and Re-Connecting People: Enhancing Peacebuilding and Social Cohesion through Learning Institutions in Conflict-Affected Communities in Cameroon project, implemented in the Northwest and Southwest Regions.
It examines practical lessons from school-based Peacebuilding Clubs, student participation, inclusive engagement and the challenges of sustaining peacebuilding activities in schools. It offers recommendations for education authorities, school administrators, civil society organisations and development partners to strengthen school-based peacebuilding initiatives.
