During the Menstrual Hygiene Month, Lead Child Africa team took upon themselves to actively sensitize communities about sexual abuse, focusing on educating children in Miselele. Through interactive sessions, children learn to recognize inappropriate behavior, understand personal boundaries, and know whom to trust and report to if they encounter or witness abuse. By using age-appropriate activities, the organization ensured that the information is accessible and impactful for young minds.
A key objective of these sensitization efforts is to create a safe and supportive environment for children. Lead Child Africa works closely with local schools, parents, and community leaders to establish a network of protection and support.

These programs align perfectly with Lead Child Africa’s vision of a continent where every child grows up in a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment, free from abuse and exploitation. Their mission to protect and promote the rights of children through education, advocacy, and community engagement is realized through these sensitization efforts. By empowering children and their communities to take a stand against sexual abuse, Lead Child Africa is making significant strides towards creating lasting change and ensuring children’s well-being and development.
